Rhonda White-Warner, M.Div., ABD, Associate Minister
Area: Congregational Care, Grief Ministry, Community Activism
 Her passion for the marginalized and disenfranchised has evolved into a ministry that goes where the action is. An honors graduate of the American Baptist Seminary of the West (M.Div.), Min. Warner is completing her dissertation in the San Francisco Theological Seminary’s African American Urban Ministry’s doctoral program. She is employed as a Project Facilitator for a youth-centered HIV/AIDS prevention project. A frequent speaker on the American Baptist Ministries women’s circuit, in 2009 she will serve as the Conference Pastor at Mount Hermon.
Her passion in ministry is social justice advocacy in areas that impact the lives of women and children in particular. She is charter member of Women of Faith—One Heart, One Mind and African American Women Mobilized to Prevent Domestic Violence and the Graduate Theological Union Black Seminarians. In addition to pulpit duties, develops and facilitates workshops in grief support, prayer and spiritual formation.
The mother of two adult children and three grandsons, she is an Oakland native.
